A frayed knot
A frayed knot
Bronze, steel, rope.
14" x 6" x 6"
2008

A bronze cast of my hand presenting the mudra (symbolic or ritual gesture or pose in Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism) for "Be Not Afraid". The kind of visual joke met mostly with eye rolls, and is mostly for Mike Arcega.

Ironically, the cast was made before an unfortunate incident with a table saw. Suffice it to say I should have been at least a little more afraid. True story.
