So back in February (2023) I was feeling a little stuck. In the best case scenario, the energy from the piece that you've just finished can be rolled into the next one, and that had conspicuously failed to happen.

For some reason I had been having an urge to get my hands in some clay. No idea why, it's been probably 25 years since I touched any. But you mine where the ore is at.

Also, it's the first figurative work I've done in a decade or more.

The open top heads are for putting things in; thoughts that you want out of your brain, things to remember, messages to the unconscious...

But also maybe pens and brushes. I'm doing both.
